When Matter Touches Antimatter

Some talk about a world in the outer zone
Made up of antimatter -
The thought makes people scatter,
'Cause it could make our own world shatter
If, by some awful chance, part of it is hurled
Toward our planet. Look out, my friend:
When all creation holds its breath,
You have no world.

Ah, and you know by now: matters of the heart
Are pitter, pitter-patter
And just like antimatter
In how attractions start. Look at her
Now. You are like the earth; she is like the sun.
So you can get as close as you dare,
But then when matter touches antimatter
Run.

Or else you wonder, "What do I care
That antimatter's touch is death
To everyone?"
